From the Madame Alexander Collection comes Louisa May Alcott, author of the book Little Women .
Louisa May is a limited edition doll, #51, of only 500 produced in 2007. Louisa May Alcott stands 10" tall in her stunning costume of blue and burgundy, plaid, highly polished cotton. Her circle cut skirt snaps in the back and is very full in circumference. Her fitted vest style cape is trimmed with a velvet burgundy piping with a hidden front hook closure. She wears a lovely black and white cameo in the center of her outfit. Each sleeve has a wide opening, allowing for her white cotton, ruffled cuff, sleeve to show. Beneath her cape she wears a white cotton blouse. Her undergarments consist of a white cotton slip, pantaloons, trimmed in black velvet, and a large plastic hoop which adds tremendous volume to her skirt. Louisa wears the most expertly crafted, navy blue hat, trimmed in a burgundy velvet ribbon, which ties under the chin. Completing her ensemble, are her most beautiful, black velvet, lace up, high-heeled boots. Louisa May has magnificent black hair which is partially pulled up in the front while the rest is loose with an abundance of curls. She has lovely red rosy cheeks and lips. Louisa May Alcott
